I do appreciate how often Metal Slug XX hands over powered-up weapons, like rocket launchers, homing missiles, and shotguns. Can you (and a friend via co-op play) turn back Morden's new minions? Well, with the incredible weapons at your disposal – my favorite is the new Thundershot rifle which fills the screen with crackling arcs of homing lightning – and some new vehicles, the only thing you have to blame for failure is your inability to see that one little bullet that clipped you in the leg when the action was going crazy. However, at the end of the first stage (of seven), Morden is given control of a new army of future-troopers, complete with little 50s sci-fi antennae coming out of their helmets. Metal Slug XX (which is a port of 2008's Metal Slug 7 on the Nintendo DS) pits six Slugs against the wicked General Morden and his legion of loyal soldiers.
